Activities in the Philippines

There are plenty of places to relax in the Philippines, with stunning beaches, luxury resorts and shopping hubs but if you’re looking for something a bit more active then there are loads of activities to keep you busy.  Here are just a few options.


There are some amazing trails available to walkers of all abilities.  Mount Batulao is close to Metro Manila and has amazing scenery of mountains and grasslands, it’s a great place for beginners.

Masungi Georeserve is in a large nature reserve in Rizal and works as a great day trip.  The trek takes from 3 to 4 hours and has some amazing views.

The Philippines is paradise for surfers.  Zambales is only 3 hours from Metro Manila and Siargao is considered by some to be the surfing capital of the country.

There are some great choices including both sea and river kayaking. There are lots of kayaking tours on offer around the country as the sport has become one of the most popular water-based activities in the country.
